AZTEC FLOWER
The Aztec Flower was one of the most popular esoteric performances of the early 20th century. The clairvoyance session was a journey to the beyond and the inexplicable. A play of credulity in the occult and disbelief and questioning of reality. In this performance, the woman was a kind of witch, fortune teller, clairvoyant, and advisor. Today, this same woman is called an "influencer" and is tasked with dictating rules and establishing trends that will be adopted by her followers, eager for the digital guidance that will show them the direction to follow. In this artwork, the artist shows a woman's head crowned with porcelain, flowers, and the wings of a golden butterfly. The absence of defined borders of this set suggests lightness and the absence of limits. However, there is a woman's body that is trapped inside a vase, from which flowers and porcelain fragments escape and fall into the void, perfuming what cannot be seen.
FLOR AZTECA
A Flor Azteca foi uma das encenações esotéricas mais populares do início do século XX. A sessão de vidência era uma viagem ao além e ao inexplicável. Um jogo de credulidade no oculto e descrença e questionamento da realidade. Nessa encenação, a mulher era uma espécie de bruxa, cartomante, vidente e conselheira.
Atualmente, essa mesma mulher se denomina “influenciadora” e está incumbida de ditar regras e estabelecer tendências que serão adotadas por seus seguidores, ávidos pela orientação digital que lhes mostrará a direção a seguir.
Neste trabalho, o artista mostra uma cabeça de mulher coroada de porcelana, flores e asas de uma borboleta dourada . A ausência de bordas definidas deste conjunto sugere leveza e ausência de limites. No entanto, existe um corpo de mulher, que está preso dentro de um vaso, por onde escapam flores e fragmentos de porcelana, que escapam e caem no vazio, perfumando o que não se vê.
